about the practice

-
Hi there! I am a trauma-focused licensed professional counselor (LPC) and the owner of Mindful Healing, PLLC. I have worked in the mental health field for 8 years. It is important to me that my clients feel good about their investment in their healing, and thus, this practice was born.
I love what I do. Witnessing my clients grow to love themselves as they heal brings me great joy. My passion is helping individuals feel empowered to break problematic cycles and find fulfillment in their lives.
I utilize the therapy modalities EMDR and IFS (parts work) with a client-centered framework. This approach allows me to guide my clients down a journey of deep dives into their inner world through a gentle, compassionate way as they explore how to make transformative shifts in their outer world. I make sure to “bring the vibes”. I value a good sense of humor and connect deeply with my clients.
I am a Midwesterner at heart and have resided in the great state of Arizona for 10 years. When I’m not working, I enjoy being outside, exercising, reading, being a mom, and making memories with my family.

I am a trauma-informed Licensed Associate Counselor. I am a therapist because I love people! I find great purpose and joy in being able to have a positive impact on others and help them find true happiness. My approach ensures my clients feel empowered, not judged. I am to help my clients find their value and strengths through vulnerability and accountability so they can live a fulfilled life on their terms.
I work with adults of all ages facing a wide array of life challenges. I specialize in working with couples, using evidence-based modalities to help each partner recognize their participation in their chronic struggles. I am also equally passionate about helping young adult women learn how to build self-esteem and grow their self-confidence.
I utilize CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and Reality Therapy, because I’ve witnessed them work! I’m a believer in how our brain takes in information and how we need to learn how to train our brains to seek the facts and react in a manner that does not allow for buy-ins of cognitive distortions or excuses. We are personally responsible for how we feel and behave, and if we are willing to accept, we can learn better ways to respond.
I am a 50-something married mom of 5 children and 3 grandchildren. I was raised in Texas, moved to Northern California when I was 20 years old, and moved to Arizona in 2009 and started my work in behavioral health. I love my 2 adorable Mini Aussies, Blu and Dutton, and have a passion for horses.
I have had my ups and downs just like everyone: divorce, heartbreak, struggles, joys, resilience, and strength. All of these experiences make me the person and therapist I am today.
If you are feeling frustrated or confused with trying to make lasting change in your life, please reach out, and let’s start your rewarding therapy journey today. I accommodate in-person and virtual appointments to ensure flexibility with your schedule.

I am a trauma-informed therapist, and I have trainings in structural dissociation, forward-facing trauma, and somatic exercises. I am also trained in narcissistic abuse to help survivors find their way in navigating these traumatic experiences.
Every client is a unique individual and presents with their own special situation. Although I integrate a number of different modalities, my foundational orientation is existential. I believe in guiding my clients towards greater purpose and meaning in life and overcoming the existential fears of freedom, isolation, responsibility, aging and death.
The therapy I practice is a dedicated journey to greater self-awareness and self-improvement for a happier, more meaningful life. My ideal client is anyone who yearns to find their true path in life and has the motivation to seek a better way. It doesn't matter what you are dealing with; we all have our crosses in life to bear.
I understand how difficult this journey we call life can be. I've traveled a very eclectic path and traversed many different crossroads until I found my true calling. I understand anxiety and trauma. I've experienced these first-hand and have written a book sharing my own challenges with depression and dissociation. A natural-born philosopher, I may not have all the answers but I have many questions to guide you to your own truth.
